Know the Figures

About Know the Figures

Most business finance arithmetic is not hard. It is just locked up — inside enterprise software priced per seat, or inside a consultant’s spreadsheet, or behind a form that wants your phone number.

None of these calculations need a server, a subscription or an account. So they are here, free, running entirely in your browser.

How this is paid for

Eventually: display advertising, a weekly email, and partner links to software — accounting, invoicing, payroll, bookkeeping tools. That is the whole list.

What we will never do

What goes wrong sections

Every calculator has one. It is the part that says where the number stops being trustworthy — the assumption that quietly breaks, the input people get wrong, the case the formula does not cover. Tools that only show you a confident number are the ones to distrust.

Corrections

If a formula here is wrong, it gets fixed and the change is noted on the page rather than quietly patched.
